Today’s podcast “Brando Glow” is one of my neurotic-eclectic mixes that attempts a flyover of the vast spectrum of my tastes across many genres.
Many of these tunes are the very opposite of the singer-songwriter-verse-chorus-verse fare that was featured on O’Pinionated Mix#1. Matching my May mood, it has a slightly more dancefloor mentality, and indulges some of my paradoxical speed-up/slow-down/let’s get lost sensibility.
Starting with a vocoder folk fugue, taking a left at ’08 Detroit Disco– with layovers in ethiopian jazz, cerebral hip-hop and 80s synth-pop. And of course, on a trip like this I always pack some Brian Eno and rare covers, just to keep the flight interesting.
I hope you enjoy. Playlist is below the fold.
