It’s been a while, nearly a decade, since I made and posted a new Summer Pop Mix. But here goes. Soon I will add a track list link, but much like movie plots, I kind of prefer it if my friends and listeners don’t know ahead of time, just what’s coming ‘round the corner— so no spoilers for first listen- that’s my recommendation. No spoilers, other than warning you this mix includes both Beach Boys and 70s TV Theme covers, the first Blondie song I ever heard, some disco-adjacent tracks by unexpected culprits, an obscure Clash track in tribute to this summer’s DSA wins, a shot of classic Motown and an underrated Avalanches collab.
